Bennett and I first met during our junior year of high school through a mutual friend. What began as casual hangouts quickly grew into a friendship, and before long, we were spending nearly every day together. We’d spend hours playing video games— well, Bennett played while I mostly watched—and talking about anything and everything.
About a year and a half later, we finally went on our first date: dinner and a movie. Not long after, we made it official. Later that year, I graduated and moved to Philadelphia for college. The distance wasn’t always easy, but through every challenge, our relationship grew stronger.
After six wonderful years together, Bennett proposed at the same place in the Smoky Mountains where we had taken our first hike together. What began as two high school kids hanging out turned into the adventure of a lifetime— and we can’t wait for what’s ahead.
Why Tennessee?
Since we got engaged, we’ve been asked this questions more than once! If you know us, you know we LOVE being outdoors and in nature. Tennessee—especially the Smoky Mountains— holds a special place in our story. It was the first trip we took together as a couple, Bennet had visited before with family, and it quickly became one of our favorite places. Surrounded by the oldest mountains, breathtaking views, and endless trails, the Smokies are truly something everyone should experience.
We chose to plan our wedding here not only for the beautiful scenery, but also to encourage our guests to explore the area for themselves. We hope you’ll consider extending your stay through the weekend— maybe rent a cozy cabin or Airbnb in the mountains, hike a waterfall, or simply take in the views. Tennessee is a place that captured our hearts, and we’d loce for you to discover the same magic while you’re here.
